Greece returns, along with 1,500 publishers from 70 countries, to the 72nd Frankfurt International Book Fair, which takes place this year at the Frankfurt Messe Exhibition Center, from 20 to 24 October 2021. Complying by the necessary health rules and with the slogan “Re: connect – Welcome back to Frankfurt ”, the largest and most important book fair in the world, reopens its gates;this year the guest country is Canada and many events will take place mainly outside the exhibition spaces but also digitally, in a hybrid model that utilizes last year’s (all-digital) experience.

Greek books will be dynamically “present” with the Greek Stand (Hall 4.1 / Stand G83) in which 14 Greek publishers participate with their own stand: Agra, Vakxikon, Eurasia, Kapon, Kastaniotis, Kedros, KokkiniKlosti Knitted, Metaichmio, Papadopoulos Pataki, Nefeli-Volatilium, University Studio Press, Thinking Book-in-browser, Romiosini. Special emphasis will be given to the promotion of the new GreekLit translation funding programme, which has already started dynamically, promoting once more Greek books and literatureas a worthy competitorin the international rights market.
