The internationally acclaimed artist Dimitris Athanitis and the award-winning lighting designer, Stella Kaltsu, are participating in the 36th International Fajr Film Festival, held from 19 to 27 April, in Tehran. This year 120 films are taking place at the Festival at 4 different contest fields.
Dimitris Athanitis will be a member of the jury in the official competition program of the Festival. The Greek filmmaker will be present, along with prominent personalities of international cinema, such as Oliver Stone, Nicolas Pivani, Franco Nero, Tomas Mauch, Yordon Donner, Selim Kaplanoglou and others.
Stella Kaltsu is invited as an official guest of the “Talent Campus” program. She will perform special workshops along with renowned artists such as French filmmaker Philip Ross, Anna Henkel-Donnersmark, Roberto Perpignani and others. The workshops are attended by students from around the world who gather in Tehran to attend this program as a parallel educational event of the Festival.
The invitation from the Fajr Festival to Dimitris Athanatis and Stella Kaltsu came after a recommendation by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Tehran.
